Golden Apple Meeting

I spent the morning down at WTTW studios in Chicago with the other nine winners of the Golden Apple. Additionally, many of the apple representatives were there as well. Golden Apple will come out to my classroom for still shots, which is for the program. WTTW will be videotaping all day, with student and adult interviews. Of course, I will be interviewed as well. As part of the September 6 Gala, a two and half minute video will be produced. There is so much to get together, I feel like I am planning a wedding!

What an amazing group of educators, with incredible stories. People that know me know that I can get somewhat emotional, the happy tears were flowing as got to know each other and began to realize how this is going to change me and my teaching. These nine people will forever be a part of my life and part of my journey this year. Thank you Golden Apple for giving me the opportunity to “soar like an eagle.”
